The Wheel of the Year

Harness the power of Nature’s seasons and Cycles

“ If you are interested in a greater sense of balance in your life, by bringing in a deeper connection to nature and the rhythms of the world – work with Jen.”

Do you ever wish life would just slow down for a moment? Do you yearn for more balance, or a sense of control or harmony? Do you constantly feel exhausted and like you can never keep up?

You’re not alone. And I believe that our fast-paced modern world - with its capitalistic, patriarchal, productivity-and-profit-based structures - has a lot to do with that sense of despair, disconnection and overwhelm you feel.

We are, at our deepest, most intrinsic level, wild beings. Ancient, wild, seasonal beings forced to live in a busy, overstimulated, always-on world. There’s the clash, right there!

The good news is it doesn’t have to feel this way. Yes, the reality of life - for most people - is that we need to find a way to navigate this busy world and I firmly believe it is possible to slow down, to honour the ancient ways, to harness the power of the seasons and cycles and to work with our innate, wild ways, rather than trying to tame them or shut them in a cage. This, dearest one, is how we learn to thrive, not just survive.

In “The Wheel of the Year: Working with Nature’s Seasons and Cycles” workshop we explore how working in tune with a more ancient calendar can help you slow your year down, feel more purposeful, and make the most of your energy at each point of the year. There’s also a bonus “Opening to Wildness” embodiment session following the workshop where you’ll start to integrate these learnings at an embodied level.

Modern day life tries to tame us…but what if you honoured your wildness, rather than fighting it?

I can’t wait to see you there!

Tuesday 21st October, 10am-12:30pm, plus optional bonus session 1:30-3pm, Zoom

Curious?!

This workshop is for you if some or all of the following resonate:

  • You feel tired, overwhelmed, like life is rushing past too fast.

  • You want to make the rest of this year count, but struggle with autumn and winter.

  • You’re done with hustle culture, always pushing through…but you’re not quite sure what to replace it with. You’re looking for a different way!

  • You love personal development and are always up for trying something new/seeing things from a different perspective/opening up to even more growth and possibility.

  • You feel called to learn more about the Celtic wheel of the year and the ancient festivals, or simply love nature, and part of you longs to reconnect to the old ways, and the seasons and cycles.

  • You're successful in what you do and yet...something's missing/not quite right/you know there's more.

  • You want to connect with, learn from and be supported by likeminded women.

  • You've seen or heard about my “wild” work and are intrigued to know more.

What we’ll cover

The Wheel of the Year is an interactive workshop where you’ll create your own “Wheel of the Year” template to take away with you. A mixture of wild teachings, reflection, discussion and guided meditation, this workshop will help you feel more grounded, more connected, and more clear about how to harness the energy of the months ahead, as well as assisting you to access deep inner wisdom and knowing to support you on that journey. We’ll explore:

🔥 Eight seasonal festivals or turning points - from the Equinoxes to the Solstices and the four cross-quarter festivals in between.

🔥 Five (not four!) seasons, their related elements, how those elements interact and why that’s relevant to your energy in different phases of the year.

🔥 Five powerful women’s archetypes and how they relate to the different seasons - and your own cycles as a woman.

🔥 Eight unique “wild focus” themes, helping you find meaning, motivation and momentum relevant to the energy of each part of the year.

🔥 BONUS 90 minute “Opening to Wildness” embodiment session, following a break for lunch. A chance to get out of your head and into your body, and start unleashing more of that wildness right away! Completely optional, highly recommended.

This workshop is open to any woman (NB folk welcome too), whether you've worked with me before, are curious to explore what working with me might be like, or simply because it calls to you. There'll be an opportunity towards the end, for those of you who feel called to deepen your connection with all things wild - inner and outer - to find out more about my Wild Women’s Wisdom online programme which will be running over the winter and into spring. You are very welcome (and not at all obliged!) to stay for that bit if you'd like to find out more.

Faqs

  • The morning (Wheel of the Year) workshop will be recorded and sent out to all those who have booked a space, within 24 hours of the session.

Please note that the “Opening to Wildness” embodiment session will not be recorded, in order to create a safe space for the women who attend live, and to honour and harness the energy of women gathering together in real time.

I do encourage you to join live and fully present for both if you can: give yourself the opportunity to really spend some time with yourself - a precious gift in this busy world!

  • Yes! The eight seasonal festivals form part of the structure of the Wheel of the Year we look at, but I also layer in other perspectives/elements/archetypes and seasonal themes that I have learned from other work and/or are unique to my own work.

What’s more, this workshop isn’t just about content, it’s a chance to connect with likeminded women in community and to dive more deeply into the theme of wildness, both inside and out.

  • At our core we are wild animals. We are built to move, to express, to be interconnected, to sing, to dance, to play. Our bodies know how they want to move. They know how to heal. And they’ve known this for hundreds of thousands of years. It is only recently we have “unlearned” how to do all of this.

We – most humans – spend much of our lives in our heads. Thinking and analysing has been valued, celebrated and rewarded above everything else. Embodiment is, quite literally, about remembering we have bodies. Remembering how to be in those bodies. It’s something that is incredibly innate within us, and yet we have all too often been conditioned out of it. This embodiment session will help you gently reconnect with your body and your body’s wisdom - to open to your innate wildness - so you can remember who you truly are.

It’s gentle, guided movement, to music. It’s not “dance” and you don’t need to be able to dance to take part. It’s profoundly powerful and if you’ve never tried an embodiment session before, I highly recommend giving it a go!

  • Chances are, if you’re reading this far, something about this workshop is calling to you. It’s my experience that most women intuitively “get” this work, and it helps them make sense of so much in their lives and to explore a different way of doing things - a way our bodies and souls are yearning for! - even if it’s counter to everything we’ve been taught growing up in the society we live in.

My own approach has always been to trust that nudge, but if you need a little taster of the power of seasonal wisdom, head over to my recent blog article about the bumpy ride that is the collision of summer with autumn!

Blog post: Where summer meets autumn.

  • Yes! Either session (the workshop and the embodiment session) are valuable in their own right, although if you can attend both they will complement each other beautifully and act as a mini-retreat away from the busyness of your day to day life.

  • Wild Women’s Wisdom (my online programme) will be officially open for enrolment the day after the workshop on the 22nd October, but those who attend the workshop live will get first dibs on (limited) spaces, on the day. Furthermore, the Wheel of the Year workshop is a great introduction to my work and, if you’re new to me, it will be a good taster to help you decide whether you want to join me for a deeper journey.

That said, Wild Women’s Wisdom will be open to anyone regardless of whether you registered for/attended the workshop and the workshop is not a pre-requisite.

I learned so much from Jen’s Wild Women’s Wisdom programme - about myself, about human nature, and about how we can embrace the energy of the seasons to thrive in our own lives, whatever is going on for us.

I would highly recommend working with Jen, she is not only knowledgeable about all things wild but is also a fantastic coach.

Jen has the most gorgeous energy about her, which shines through even online. Her knowledge, and passion, for her work is infectious, and I love how she encouraged all of us to believe in our own inner wild woman.

“The science is only just catching up with what women like Jen have known and been practising for thousands of years. But here's the thing. I'm lucky enough to own an Ōura ring that tracks overall health data. My usual sleep scores are around 72% efficiency. Not bad for a mumma of 2 small kids, however after a 1 hour evening workshop with Jen at the end of my working day, my sleep score that night shot up to 92% which is the highest I've ever seen recorded!

If you are reading this wondering precisely what you will get from jumping in and saying YES to yourself and working alongside Jen, well, even sophisticated tech can't quite keep up, however I now have scientific proof that what she is teaching, holding and expressing through her work is pure gold and IS having a hugely positive impact on my life and not only my basic needs, but so much more in order to thrive.
