BeWild

For women who are done being caged!

Would you like to feel more courageous, more resilient, more connected, more…well…you?!

This is Be Wild.

“The most powerful personal development programme I’ve ever done.”

Stunning wild venues. Space to breathe, to explore, to grow. Gentle challenge, deep support. New, lifelong friends. A safe space to stretch your edges and rediscover your courage.

Perhaps you’re at a crossroads in your life. Perhaps you’ve lost touch with the real you. Perhaps you’re craving adventure and connection and growth. Perhaps you simply want to be braver, happier, more fulfilled.

BeWild helps you rediscover and reconnect with the parts of you that, somewhere along the way, got tamed. Not by running away to the woods or returning to who you were, but by remembering who you are.

Wildness is in your DNA. After all, your ancestors were wild women! It’s not that long ago, in evolutionary terms, that we were living in tune with the seasons and cycles, with the heartbeat of the land, with wild blood running through our veins. BeWild is about reconnecting with and reclaiming this ancient wisdom and wild courage, within the realities of the fast-paced, modern world. Through a year of wild retreats, online workshops and group coaching and circle calls, this is a deep dive journey into your inner wild, whilst journeying through the outer wild.

We ask ourselves: what does it mean to BE wild, and how can we tune into the wisdom of the old ways and the cycles of the year, our own nervous systems, our own “taming”? How can you help yourself feel more resourced, more connected and more confident - more in touch with your inner Wild Woman - and how can that help you thrive, in all areas of your life; your work, business, relationships and health?

“I’ve fallen back in love with life again.”

What does it mean to Be Wild?

Being Wild isn’t about running away from modern day life and returning to live in caves. It’s about reimagining how to navigate modern life using the skills, wisdom, qualities and gifts of nature and the old ways.

Being Wild is rediscovering access to courage, confidence, authenticity, playfulness, resilience, joy, strength, awareness, calm, groundedness, instinct, intuition, self-belief, vitality, connection, compassion and joy.

It’s remembering who you truly are, reconnecting with the wildness your body knows, then applying that to thrive in your every day life, and the future you choose for yourself.

Being Wild is choosing who YOU want to be. Who YOU want to show up as. What YOU stand for. It’s as simple and as complicated as being YOU. Sometimes you’ve just got to dig beneath the layers that have accumulated over the years to rediscover who that really is!

“BeWild literally transformed my life. I wouldn’t be where I am now, doing what I’m doing, without it.” - Previous participant

So what is BeWild?

BeWild is a year-long journey for women who know they want more from life. Women who love taking themselves on but are bored of stuffy leadership training, theoretical learning, or solely-online programmes and want something different. Something more in tune with nature’s seasons and cycles. More connection to both the inner and the outer wild. It’s a journey of nature connection meets personal growth that is going to profoundly change how you see yourself, how you relate to others and how you show up in the world. Getting back to basics but with high levels of support, it’s about reconnecting to yourself through connecting with the wild and your fellow tribe of wild women.

As part of BeWild you’ll journey through the seasons of the year as a small tribe of wild-women-in-training, combining four wild, seasonal retreats in stunning and varied locations, the Wild Women’s Wisdom workshop series, a real life wolf encounter, regular online circle and coaching calls and direct access to me (ask me anything, at any time!).

As a small, close knit village we’ll dive deeper into connection with self and with each other through diving deeper into connection with the wild. In particular, we explore “the Wild Woman” archetype, seasons and cycles, nature connection, foraging, bushcraft, group dynamics and village-building activities. And, as with all Wildfire retreats, you can certainly expect plenty of laughter, campfire-cooked food, songs, stories, spaciousness, deep replenishment, soul-searching and shared wisdom.

The intention of BeWild is not to turn you into a die-hard outdoorsy person, rather to build confidence with being out in nature, to expand your comfort zone, to cultivate a deeper sense of connection, clarity and courage in life and business, and to harness the power of the Wild Woman to thrive in all areas of your life.

Curious?!

And, perhaps, also feeling a little bit of trepidation/excitement/uncertainty?! Perfect!

The fact that you’re here tells me that something in you is hearing The Call.

The Call of the Wild.
The Call to a deeper journey.
The Call to something deep inside you that craves connection, tribe, wildness, adventure, and a homecoming to lost ways.

It takes certain amount of courage and commitment to answer that call. Courage which you, my dear, have in bucketloads (you just don’t know it yet).

“BeWild feels like a homecoming. I feel deeply connected to the land, to a whispered past of living in line with the seasons and in commune with the earth.”
Sarah Hurrell, BeWild 2021

“Being able to switch off and unplug from the noise and the busyness of modern life is probably one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves…being able to connect with nature, ourselves and build powerful connections with my fellow “BeWilders” has allowed me to dig deep and peel away the layers of judgement and expectation of modern life and just simply be me...! A truly transformational experience like nothing else.”
— Samantha Bradford, Financial Adviser and Business Owner, BeWild 2022
“Jen holds a delicious and healing space for attendees.”
— Caroline, GP, BeWild 2024

“I had been looking for a leadership development programme/coaching for executives, but everything out there sounded so dull and boring.
When a fellow business owner recommended Jen and BeWild to me I just knew I needed it – even though I hated camping!
BeWild was an experience of being wild and free, of trying new things, of being stripped back to me. A safe place of fellowship and just BEING.”
— Chris Baigent-Reed, CEO and founder, BeWild 2022
“I am so grateful I found the courage to Be Wild. Through it I am discovering who I really am and want to be. What a gift - it is absolutely transformational!”
— Karen Wood, BeWild 2024

What do the retreats involve?

Each of our four wild retreats is a development of our journey through the seasons of the year as a tribe. In varied wild locations - each with some rustic creature comforts - we slow down, switch off, learn new skills and connect with nature, ourselves and each other. These are definitely not fluffy towels and waited-on-hand-and-foot retreats, these are back to basics, living and working as a village and learning more deeply about ourselves, our strengths and our relationships as a result.

Each retreat brings new environments, new experiences, and new opportunities to stretch and challenge yourself, all with deeply held support. Most retreats include an element of foraging, wild craft, walks or hikes, mindfulness, movement, guided reflection and an elemental theme, and all retreats include hearty, nourishing food cooked over the campfire, wild wisdom, fireside sessions, solo time and an invitation to connect more deeply with the true you.

BeWild: Woods (Spring)

Gathering in the woods for the first time as a village, camping amongst the bluebells, we meet each other as spring unfolds around us. With a focus on forming our village, foraging, and fire, we equip ourselves with some of the tools, skills and practices that will support us as we journey through the year - both emotionally, socially and practically.

We explore what fire can teach us about ourselves and our lives, discover how capable we are when we use our own two hands to create something from scratch from the materials around us, and learn from the trees and creatures around us. You’ll arrive as a group of individuals, and leave as a tribe, ready to support each other through the year to come, and beyond.

23rd-25th April 2027

Near Nailsworth, Gloucestershire

BeWild: Dartmoor (Summer)

We take the wildness up a notch and venture on foot* to a secluded Dartmoor river valley, where we spend four days completely off grid in a beautiful cabin amongst ancient oaks, willows, moss, red deer and a stunning series of waterfalls and pools.

We meet the elements of air and water, with vast skies, open moors and, if you choose, dips in the stream, whilst continuing our connection with fire, wood and earth. We build on our fire and crafting skills, take a hike out on the moor, mark the summer solstice with a powerful ceremony and explore more deeply who we are when we’re not defined by the labels we’ve accumulated throughout our life.

*our kit gets taken up for us by 4X4, don’t worry!

17-20th June 2027

Dartmoor, Devon

BeWild: Wolves (Autumn)

For many women this retreat is a real highlight, as it’s where we spend a day coming face to face with real life wolves - and what they teach us about ourselves, and it’s so powerful because we’ve spent this time travelling together up til now. In the safety and openness of a group who knows you, loves you and supports you, it’s so much easier to be open to the insights the wolves bring us about our own relationship to safety, our place in the groups we find ourselves in, and our relationship to other people in our lives.

Camping in a private and magical Cornish valley, we also have plenty of time to explore the land, and spend a day down at the coast, foraging for a feast to celebrate the abundance of autumn.

16-19th September

Near Polperro, Cornwall

BeWild: The Homecoming (Winter)

You might think we’re mad, camping in the woods in (early) winter, but by this part of the journey everyone is eagerly awaiting to gather again, returning to the woods where it all began, our cosy tent nests, and dark nights around the hearty fire. We also spend the day with green woodworker Rosie Mockford, who skilfully supports us to whittle treasures out of wood as a memento of our journey.

In line with the season of winter, this is a time for reflection. For celebrating everything that has been gathered on the journey, the friendships made, the growth embraced. Also for looking ahead and planting the seeds of what’s next…where will your wildness take you?

Your life-changing wild journey starts here!

It all begins with a conversation.

Are you ready?

“You will get out what you put in and there is no failure, so go for it. Be prepared to be tested, to laugh, to ache, to learn, to cry, to get wet, to get dirty, and to find out you are capable of things you never considered possible.”

— Roz Dixon-Burnett, Audit and Compliance Executive, BeWild 2021

Quote: "I was really nervous about coming into a group of women. It was the thing that was potentially going to stop me. But on the first retreat, you're trying to find your feet and then you realise, oh, this is actually a really safe space. It's OK

Now it’s your turn…

You’ve read this far, so my guess is that something is calling you. I can give you all the information, but only you can take the next step, and decide whether it’s right for you. Here’s what I suggest:

🔥 Book a call with me to talk it through. Some women just know BeWild is for them, for some it’s a much bigger decision, and I honour both approaches. Either way, a conversation between us is important, as I can support you to make your decision, and I’ll be completely honest if I don’t think it’s the right journey for you right now.

🔥 Join us for Wild Women’s Wisdom in the meantime. You’ll get 3 or 6 months of support over the winter, and a taste of what it’s like to work with me and be in a group of likeminded, supportive women, exploring what it means to be wild in the modern world. Then, if/when you join us for BeWild, you’re well on your journey, and your investment for Wild Women’s Wisdom will be deducted from that for BeWild.

🔥 At the very least, make sure you’re on my mailing list (sign up link below), so you continue to receive wild nudges and options for joining me out in the wild in the future, even if you decide BeWild is not your adventure this time around.
